Colorado Computer CreationsColorado Computer Creations is dedicated to developing quality computer games. CCC has released two different computer games: High Command and History of the World.
In May 1997, the Avalon Hill Game Company, now owned by Hasbro, released History of the World for the personal computer. HotW is based on the Avalon Hill boardgame of the same name.
Try out the demo version (5.9 Mb) of History of the World. The demo was also released on the CD attached to PC Gamer, Vol. 4 No. 8, August 1997, and an article on using the demo is on page 23. You can find it online at Online Game Review. But be warned, it's 5.9 MBytes of files.
If you've already got the game, be sure you're running the current version!. The patch for version 1.02 (750 kB) makes the game much more enjoyable. The music for HotW was developed by the good folks at Taliesyn Music.

High Command was originally released by CCC, and a later version was released by 360 Pacific. 360 Pacific filed for bankruptcy. High Command has been re-released in a collection of classic wargames.
